District appoints seven new principals
May 5, 2005

The Springfield School Board has approved the appointments of seven new principals for the 2005-2006 school year.

Chris Mendel, principal at Sherwood Elementary School, will become principal at Wanda Gray Elementary School replacing Carol Plumley who is retiring.

Janell Bagwell, assistant principal at Pleasant View Middle School, will become principal at Mark Twain Elementary School replacing Alice Maggi who is retiring.

Melissa Riley, assistant to the principal at both McBride and Disney elementary schools, will become principal at Horace Mann Elementary School replacing Leatha Ault who is retiring.

Brady Quirk, currently in the Willard School District where he has been a teacher and assistant principal, will become assistant principal at Carver Middle School.

Linda Jones, assistant principal at Hillcrest High School, will become the district’s Coordinator of Alternative Programs and replaces Randy Galbraith, who is retiring.

Teresa Wise, the administrative intern, will become assistant principal at Glendale High School replacing John O’Neil who is retiring.

Matthew Hudson, a technology specialist at Hillcrest High School, will become assistant principal at Parkview High School.
