Relocating to our district?
Here's what you need to know
Springfield Public Schools is the largest fully-accredited school district in Missouri, serving more than 24,000 students. The district has 53 schools including 35 elementary schools, one 5-6 school, nine middle schools and five high schools, plus several alternative learning centers.
To enroll in Springfield Public Schools you will need a copy of the student's birth certificate, immunization record and Social Security number and you must also present proof that you live in your new attendance area (a utility bill, lease, etc, will suffice). Several of the forms you will complete must be notarized, which the school secretary can take care of. The process takes about 30 minutes. If transferring from another school, your child's previous records will be requested.
To start kindergarten a child must be 5 years old before Aug. 1 of the current year.
