SPS Channel 25
If you have cable television, tune in channel 25 to find out about upcoming events, watch student programming and learn from Annenberg, a public broadcasting service. The district bulletin board broadcasts details about PTA meetings, book sales, chili suppers, reunions and other events held at Springfield schools. If you would like information posted about an event at your school, contact the school secretary. Student programming runs on channel 25 Thursday through Sunday evenings. For over 15 years, high school students have produced monthly or bi-monthly shows through video production classes offered at their high school. Annenberg/CPB, a partnership between the Annenberg Foundation and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, uses media and telecommunications to advance teaching and learning in American schools. School cancellations are also announced on channel 25 in addition to on local radio and television stations. School board meetings are aired live and rebroadcast the week following the meeting at 9 a.m., Sunday and 5:30 p.m., Tuesday. Contact Beth Kirkpatrick at 523-0086 for questions about channel 25.
