District Strategic Plan becomes official
September 6, 2007
Springfield Public Schools’ “Strategic Plan” became official Tuesday night when the 25-page document was approved by the school board. Now, board members say, it will be important to share the details of the document with the public.
The plan, known as SP5, is a long-term roadmap designed to allow the district to maintain and improve its programs and facilities in five-year increments while meeting district goals, indicators, measures and targets.
SP5 was introduced to about 200 members of the community Sept. 6 during the district’s “Good Morning Springfield” presentation at Carver Middle School. Good Morning Springfield is a monthly networking event sponsored by the Springfield-Area Chamber of Commerce.
