Board Agendas
Agendas for board study sessions and meetings culminate several weeks of work, study, and review by Board members and staff. On Friday preceding the first Tuesday of each month an agenda with background information on each item is distributed to Board members. Between then and the study session, which is usually on the first Tuesday, Board members review the material and, if needed, seek additional information or clarification from the superintendent. Full discussion occurs and a 'sense of the Board' is established at the study session. Official action is usually not taken at a study session but it may be if circumstances dictate. At the regular meeting of the board, on the third Tuesday of each month, official action is taken and additional discussion may develop. Agendas are posted to the website the Friday before a board meeting. A summary of the meeting can be found in the summary section of the board link the day after a board meeting.
