Comprehension Strategies for 8th & 9th Grade Teachers, Meeting 3 March 4, 7:30-10:30, Tefft Teachers who participated in the Comprehension Strategies cadre in 2008-09 are invited to continue learning in the year 2 cadre. Any 8th or 9th grade teachers who would like to join may do so by contacting Jennifer Renegar. This date/time for schools in the Central and Glendale feeder patterns.

Creative MAP Review Using EM Literature Books & Manipulatives, Grades 3-5 March 10, 4:00-5:30, Bowerman Elementary, 2148 N Douglas Ave Teachers of grades 3-5 are invited to participate in a workshop with hands-on review on how to teach multiplication and division using manipulatives and a "handy" approach to teaching fractions. Also, participants will use EM literature books "The Greedy Triangle", "How Big Is a Foot?" and "Spaghetti and Meatballs for All" to review geometry terms, measuring language and area and perimeter. A stipend of $26.25 is available for participants. Seating is limited to 20. To register, send name, school and grade level to Jennifer Renegar.
