On behalf of over 250 employees who comprise the Springfield Public Schools Food Service Department, I would like to welcome you to our web site.
Our employees serve over 31,000 meals each day to students and staff in the district’s fifty-two feeding locations. We utilize the Nutrient Standard Menu Planning System which documents actual computerized analysis of our daily food offerings to ensure we meet the rigid standards established by the United Stated Department of Agriculture. Our programs also comply with the Advanced level of the Missouri Eat Smart Nutritional Guidelines established by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Our meals also meet the standards of the Local Wellness Policy adopted by the Springfield Board of Education in July of 2006.
Our management team consists of thirteen professionals representing over 188 years of experience in the food and food service field. Our staff includes a registered dietitian as well as professionals in the areas of food production, food safety, sanitation, accounting and marketing. We welcome your input.
