Menu Information

Springfield Public Schools follows the guidelines established by the USDA for school lunches using the offer versus serve system.  This allows the children more food choices.

Breakfast for elementary must include a minimum of three of the four following choices:

  • 1 - breakfast entree
  • 1 - toast or tots
  • 1 - juice or fruit
  • 1 - milk

Breakfast for secondary  must include a minimum of three of the four following choices:

  • 1 - breakfast entree
  • 1 - toast
  • 1 - juice or tots
  • 1 - milk

Elementary lunch must include one entree choice and a minimum of two of the following choices:

  • 1 - vegetable choice
  • 1 - fruit choice
  • 1 - bonus item (see menu)
  • 1 - milk

Middle School lunch must include one entree choice and a minimum of two of the following choices:

  • 1 - vegetable choice
  • 1 - fruit choice
  • 1 - Jell-o / Pudding
  • 1 - Milk

High School lunch must include one entree choice and a minimum of two of the following choices:

  • 1 - Vegetable or Tots
  • 1 - Fruit or 4oz Juice Carton
  • 1 - Jell-o / Pudding
  • 1 - Milk

The elementary adult menu has been developed with input from teachers and principals to better serve the needs of elementary staff.

Adult Lunch Includes:

  • 1 - entree choice
  • 2 - vegetable choices
  • 1 - fruit choice
  • 1 - dessert
  • 1 - beverage

Garden Salad will be available ala carte for elementary adults daily.
