ESOL Teacher: Jennifer Morrison
Hello! My name is Jennifer Morrison, and I will be teaching K-4 English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) at Harrison. I am originally from Oklahoma, where I lived from birth until college; after that, I went to college in Texas and here in Missouri. My teaching experience began in 1993 and is varied: I have taught 8th grade and High School language arts, college English and ESL, as well as K-12 ESOL. My degrees are from Drury University, where I received my BS in English, and Missouri State University, where I received my MA in English and TESOL. I have been with Springfield Public Schools for 5 years now, teaching ESOL and doing ESL assessment.
My husband, two boys (10 and 14) and I love to read, camp, hunt, and spend time outside together or indoors watching great movies or playing a fun board game. My favorite thing to do is work in my vegetable garden or curl up with a wonderful book with a hot cup of coffee (or a cold glass of coffee, depending on the season!).
I look forward to teaching at and working with the Harrison Elementary community!
