ECSE Occupational Therapist-
Kim Trafford

Hi! My name is Kim Trafford and I am so very excited to be the Occupational Therapist at Harrison Elementary! I have been an O.T. for 22 years ( a KU grad... GO Jayhawks!), 15 of these years have been with Springfield Public Schools. I currently travel to several schools within the district to provide services to students in both the Early Childhood Special Education Program and school age programs as well as conduct evaluations as a part of the Early Childhood Assessment Team.
I am the mother of four beautiful children, Mitchell is 17, a junior in the IB program at Central High School and also a part of the award winning Central Intelligence Media Team; My daughter Mallory is 14 and a freshman in the Pre-IB program at Central. She is a competitive dancer for Sonshine Dance Troupe and is also a member of the dance team at Central; My son Mason is 12 and a sixth grade student at Carver Middle School. He is passionate about animals and drawing and just completed his animal handling certification through the WOLF program. My youngest son Marek is 10 and a fourth grade student at Sunshine Elementary. He is very involved in sports and can often be found in his catchers gear practicing for the next baseball game.
When not at school I enjoy spending time with family and friends. During our extra time, my family and I are very involved at our church, Wesley United Methodist. I am the Children's Worship Arts Coordinator and lead several classes including choir, puppets and sticks. Mitchell is an electric guitar player in the Praise Band, Mallory is one of the instructors for the Praise In Motion dance team, and Mason and Marek are active members of the choir, puppet and sticks teams. Thank you for sharing your children with me! I look forward to meeting you and having a wonderful year as a part of the Husky Team!
