Counselor:  Nancy Samples

Nancy Samples

It is my privilege to have the opportunity to work with the students, parents and faculty at Harrison Elementary.  I am a lifelong resident of Springfield and have personally attended Springfield Public Schools from elementary through high school. I graduated from Missouri State University with a BS in Education and a MS in Elementary Guidance and Counseling.  My husband David and I have six wonderful children, and six beautiful grandchildren.  In my spare time, I love to bike with my husband on our tandem, (bicycle built for two) watch football, (Go RAMS!) and spend time with my family.

I’m returning to Springfield Public Schools after being away for seven years.  It is my desire as a counselor to help create a positive atmosphere where students can build a solid emotional, as well as educational, base for a successful journey through the academic process.  This base will be formed by building healthy relationships, and setting achievable goals while students learn about themselves and others.  Please know that my door is always open to students, parents, and staff.  I am always willing to listen and help in anyway that I can.
