Classroom Teacher: Ms. Pollock

Hello! My name is Stacie Pollock and I am so delighted to be a part of the new Harrison Elementary! I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Missouri State University in 2005. I will graduate with a Master of Science in Elementary Education from Missouri State University in December of 2009.
I am passionate about empowering children to become independent, self-motivated, life-long learners. I feel it is important to provide a supportive and encouraging environment that is conducive for learning. I feel the cooperation of school, home, and community is crucial for an educational program to reach its full potential. I recognize the importance of trust and will always strive to build successful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. There is no greater reward than being a part of a child’s success.
I grew up in California and moved to Missouri in 2004. I am engaged to be married to a wonderful man, Phillip, in July of 2010. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, playing with my dogs (Stitch and Tater), paintballing, floating, and remodeling my house.
I am so excited to be teaching at Harrison and I cannot wait to meet all of the wonderful people this school will bring together! GO HUSKIES!
