Hello! My name is Joanna Clark and I am so excited about embarking on this new adventure. This is my seventh year teaching and I have been at the same school throughout my teaching career so I am looking forward to new opportunites and experiences. I am originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I came to Missouri in 1998 to go to school, ended up meeting my husband, and we decided to make Springfield our home. I graduated from Evangel University in 2002 with my degree in Elementary Education. In 2006, I received my Master's in Educational Administration from Evangel. Throughout my tenure at Fremont, I have participated in whole faculty study groups, served on various professional development teams, been trained in the Arkansas Literacy model, and done extensive data analysis regarding the MAP. This is also my third year in an eMINTS classroom and I am in the process of becoming a certified eMINTS teacher.
My husband, Shawn, and I have a little boy, Caleb, who was born in January of 2008. We also have a very energetic Jack Russell Terrier named, Baxter. I love spending time with my family, reading, shopping, watching "American Idol" and "Survivor".
