Pershing’s Academic Recovery (AR) Program offers students a
small group setting and enhanced curriculum intended to improve
Communication Arts and Math Skills.
Academic Recovery is the first
program of its kind in Springfield and in its seventh year at
John J Pershing Middle School. It was started by Former Pershing
Principal Dr. Finch under the instruction of Jenn Webb (current
principal at Ed V Williams Elementary.)
The Academic Recovery Program is
under new leadership, as 2009 brought a new teacher and
administrator to the building. Principal, Dr. Cauldwell and
classroom teacher, Mr. Sumner are very eager to welcome you
to the program and look forward to sharing many success
stories. |

Scientists
can prove that it is aerodynamically impossible for the bumble bee to
fly-its body is too heavy and its wings too light to sustain flight. But
the bumble bee chooses not to be influenced by science's negative
viewpoint and flies anyway. When you look at the bee, think this
thought-
"Yes, I believe I CAN BEE what I want to BEE!"
The bumble bee offers another lesson. When the bumble bee is flapping
its wings, it is able to start the flight process. Remember to keep on
keeping on and you will get where you want to go.
Keep your wings flapping and you will go far! |
