About Portland Elementary
Portland Elementary is a neighborhood school where students, parents, teachers and business partners focus on the success of our 230 students and help develop pride in our community.
For the past six years we have been a Partnership in Comprehensive Literacy model school. During this time we have evolved into a strong professional learning community focused on the success of every student. Portland has a dedicated staff of 35. Ninety percent of our classroom teachers have been trained in the literacy model. We have a literacy coach and a reading and math specialist on staff.
