Mrs. Desiree Tucker, Second Grade

I have been a classroom teacher at Portland for three years. My first year at Portland I taught a third/fourth grade split. I am now teaching second grade and I love it. I taught Title 1 reading for two years and fourth grade for three years in Kansas. I taught in Kansas for five years and then stayed at home with my son and daughter. I was married for thirty years when my husband passed away of a heart attack.  

My daughter has a marketing degree and works for the Community Foundation of the Ozarks. She is married and her husband is the Executive Director of The Gardens. They have a daughter Delany that is 3 and a son Carter that is 9 months.

My son will graduate from Missouri State this December. He currently works for the Arc of the Ozarks. He is very athletic and works out continuosly.  

I love going to movies, reading, being with my grandchildren, and enjoying the summer time swimming in my pool. I am also a huge Chiefs fan!
