Mission Statement: The mission of Campbell Elementary School is to provide a secure educational environment, setting high standards and expectations, in which all students will acquire the necessary skills of knowledge, discipline and citizenship as they become productive members of society.
School Profile:
- We are a neighborhood school with about 200 students. Our students enjoy a staff that cares, encourages and expects personal responsibility and academic achievement.
- We have a specific focus on character education and social skills. Weekly challenge assemblies support attendance, celebrate individual and collective achievement, and stimulate students to develop citizenship and social competencies.
- We have strong partnerships with various groups and businesses that make a positive difference in the lives of our students. The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, Community Insurance Underwriters, and Metro CU are Campbell’s main Partners in Education. We also have support from several faith-based organizations. Our partners volunteer, mentor and provide financial support. Much of Campbell’s success comes from our strong partnerships.
- We have after-school partnerships with YMCA Prime Time and Boys & Girls Club. We offer the Springfield-Greene County Park Board’s CLICK (Community Learning in Centers for Kids) program. We also offer various evening parenting classes and family activities through Caring Communities.
- Campbell has met Adequate Yearly Progress since the inception of No Child Left Behind. Campbell utilizes Title I federal funding to provide intervention and support programs so all students can be successful.
