- Robberson is located near the intersection of Kearney Street and National Avenue. The school, with beautiful hardwood floors, tall ceilings, and original woodwork, was built in 1905 and is the oldest elementary building still in use today in Springfield.
- Robberson is proud to be a neighborhood school which serves a student population of about 277 students in grades pre-K through 5, and offers pre-school Wonder Years.
- Academic excellence is expected for all students. To reach this goal, Robberson has adopted the Partnership in Comprehensive Literacy model for delivery of communication arts. This features reading and writing workshop instruction, as well as small group instruction.
- Robberson employs the philosophy of Love and Logic to help students make good behavioral choices and to take responsibility for their actions.
- Relationships are the cornerstone to success in learning. To build strong relationships between the school and community, Robberson partners with many community outreach organizations that provide services on site, including medical, educational and mental health.
