Mission Statement: The Study Middle School community believes in working together for the continuous academic and social improvement of all students.
School Profile:
- Study Middle School is a neighborhood school where students, parents, and teachers know one another by name. With an enrollment of 379, our school makes students feel safe and supported.
- We have high expectations for all students. Study teachers strive to develop relationships with students through a caring, motivating, and challenging approach in all aspects of the educational process.
- Title I federal funding provides additional resources for our teachers and students and provides research based interventions and support programs for students who struggle academically.
- Our students have successfully competed at the district and state level in Science Olympiad for seven consecutive years. In 2007, Study earned first place at the regional Science Olympiad at Missouri State University competition. In both 2008 and 2009, Study placed second.
- We offer our students a variety of research based instructional approaches as well as extracurricular opportunities. Through Continuous Quality Improvement, Gateway to Technology, eMINTS, Reader’s and Writer’s workshop, tutoring opportunities, technology for hands-on learning, athletics, leadership club, media club, and NJHS, our students have opportunities to experience many different opportunities to grow and excel academically and socially.
