School Profile:
- We are a neighborhood school with 339 students. Our staff takes a personal interest in each child helping them to reach their potential. We have 15 regular classroom teachers to meet the needs of our diverse population.
- Our site school improvement plan encourages regular school attendance and good character traits. Quarterly awards assemblies support these efforts. In 2008-2009, our average daily attendance exceeded the district’s goal of 95 percent.
- The Wilder PTA is an active partner in our community with 180 members. Wildcat tutoring, family fun night, cultural arts week and field trip sponsorships are among their endeavors. Many members volunteer weekly in a variety of areas.
- Wilder staff sponsors several before-school activities. Step club meets two days a week and encourages a healthy walking lifestyle. Wilder Warblers is a fifth-grade choir that performs several times a year. Cup stackers and jugglers meet weekly.
- Wilder has been recognized as a Missouri Assessment Program Top 10 school for outstanding performance in several areas over past years.
- Wilder has a student council led by fifth-grade students and two staff sponsors that performs several community service activities annually for the school.
