Mission Statement: The Wilson’s Creek community is committed to the pursuit of academic and character excellence.
School Profile:
- We are a neighborhood school located in southwest Springfield. Wilson’s Creek is a fifth- and sixth-grade feeder school for fourth-grade students from McBride, Wanda Gray and David Harrison elementary schools. Our sixth-graders go on to Cherokee Middle School for seventh and eighth grade.
- Community involvement by our PTA, parents, and various community members is evident throughout our school. Our Partners in Education, Sunshine Rotary and Bancorp South, work directly with our character education program.
- At Wilson’s Creek, we provide students with many opportunities to excel in academics and character development. Students may choose to participate in various musical programs, physical education activities and art programs. Academic tutoring is also available for students in need of additional assistance.
- Wilson’s Creek’s inaugural school year was 2005. Our modern building has air conditioning, wireless Internet, and sixth-grade science labs.
