Mrs. Shelton's Kindergarten Class
Our Mission:
The mission of Mrs. Shelton’s class is to be respectful, be a good listener and have a plan to be ready for first grade.
The students this year created this mission statement. We work hard to follow the mission statement and the norms the students have created in our classroom through Continuous Classroom Improvement. The students have input in how they plan to achieve their goals and they help graph their progress.
This is my twentieth year in Education and it is my seventh year teaching Kindergarten at Weller. Prior to Kindergarten I have taught Early Childhood Special Education, was an Educational Diagnostician for ECSE, and taught second grade. I graduated with my Master’s in Elementary Education from Southwest Missouri State University in 1992.
I am married and have two daughters, ages 9 and 15. I spend my free time running them to basketball games, tournaments and gymnastics meets. We have two lovable golden retrievers.
