Wonder Years
Hi, I am Kathy Cross. This is my second year at Weller, but this is my twelfth year to teach Wonder Years. The children are the joy of my life along with my family.
Wonder Years is a Title I, federally funded, pre kindergarten program for four and five year olds who will attend kindergarten the following school year. The purpose of Wonder Years is to provide educational services for eligible children. The focus is to raise the academic achievement of students once they reach school age. Wonder Years provides young children with the early learning experiences that will enable them to meet academic standards in school.
To be eligible a child must turn four years old before August 1st of the current school year and must reside in a Title I school attendance area. Eligibility is also determined through a developmental screening process. I look forward to serving children at Weller for a long time. The mission of Mrs. Cross’ Wonder Years class is to learn as much as we can about letters, numbers, and making friends so we can be ready for kindergarten.
